Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil was tortured for confessing Christianity, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, grieved openly. When Stratonic confessed his faith, they were both condemned. After severe beatings, they were tied in sacks and drowned in the Danube River. Lord, through their prayers, strengthen our resolve and faith.
