Hieromartyr Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, fearlessly confessed Christ during Emperor Maximian's persecutions. Brought before the court, he refused to offer pagan sacrifices, declaring, "I worship the One True God." Despite pleas from his family, Irineu remained steadfast. Tortured and imprisoned, he converted many. When ordered to be beheaded, he requested time to pray, converting even more onlookers. Grant us, through his prayers, unwavering faith.
