The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, a virgin pledged to Joseph, in Nazareth. He announced she would conceive and bear a son, #Jesus, to be named Emmanuel, meaning "God with us." Though troubled, Mary humbly accepted, saying, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." Through the #HolySpirit, she conceived.
