Venerable Dometie, a simple shepherd from Râmeț Monastery, exemplified boundless mercy. One harsh winter, he encountered a starving beggar, shivering and near death. Moved with compassion, Dometie gave him his own warm sheepskin coat, despite the biting cold. That very night, Saint Nicholas appeared to Dometie in a dream, thanking him for his selfless act of love, revealing that he was the beggar. Dometie's humility and charity became legendary.
