Philotheia, a child of only twelve, met her martyrdom. Her stepmother, consumed by jealousy, ordered her to bring food to the field workers. Seeing an opportunity, she commanded the workers to tie Philotheia to a tree, where she was mercilessly slain with an axe. Her relics, known for miraculous healings, rest at the Curtea de Argeș Monastery, a testament to her purity and unwavering faith. May her prayers intercede for us, that we may find strength in times of adversity and remain steadfast in our devotion.
