On this day, let us remember Saint Priest Martyr Alexandru of Basarabia, who stood firm in his faith against the atheistic Soviet regime. In 1918, he advocated for Bessarabia's union with Romania. He was arrested in 1941 for anti-Soviet activities, and after enduring horrific torture, he was martyred.

Let us beseech Saint Alexandru to intercede for us, that we may have the strength to confess Christ boldly in these times.
