In Durostorum, Emilian, a brave young man, shattered pagan idols during a festival. Arrested and brought before the judge, he fearlessly confessed his faith in Christ. Despite threats and torture, Emilian refused to denounce his Savior. He was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames consumed him, Emilian praised God, his face radiant with joy. His sacrifice strengthened the faith of many Christians in the region.
