Venerable Germanus of Dobrogea, in the 4th century, lived as a hermit in a cave near the Black Sea. He ate very little and spent his days in prayer, and he was granted the gift of working miracles. During a time of drought, the local villagers begged him for help. Germanus struck the ground with his staff, and a spring of fresh water gushed forth, saving the community from starvation. May #Germanus intercede for us, that we may be granted the strength to live a life of prayer and service to others. Lord, hear our #prayers. Grant us the power of the #HolySpirit!
