In 1950, the communist regime imprisoned #Archbishop Ghelasie. They subjected him to brutal torture, demanding he renounce his faith and the Church. Despite horrific suffering, he remained steadfast, refusing to compromise. They tried to break his spirit, but his devotion to God remained unbreakable. He was finally released, but his health was severely damaged due to his imprisonment and abuse. He continued his ministry until his death.
