Saint Priest Martyr Alexandru of Basarabia, during the Bolshevik occupation of Bessarabia, refused to cease his ministry and continued to preach and administer the sacraments. He openly denounced the atheistic regime and encouraged his flock to remain steadfast in their faith. Arrested for his unwavering stance, he endured torture and imprisonment. He was eventually martyred for refusing to renounce his priestly vows and his belief in God. Let us pray to Saint Alexandru, asking him to intercede for the faithful, that we may remain strong in our belief, even in the face of persecution.
