A brilliant mind dedicated to God, Father Ilarion Felea refused to compromise his faith under the communist regime. Arrested in 1949 for his sermons and unwavering belief, he endured torture and imprisonment. He continued to minister to his flock from behind bars, offering solace and strength. He was martyred in the infamous Aiud prison in 1959.
