Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a 14th-century monk, built the Tismana Monastery in Romania, a place of refuge and prayer during turbulent times. Known for his ascetic life and deep faith, he translated religious texts and fostered spiritual growth among the people. Legend says he struck a rock with his staff, and a spring of healing water gushed forth, a testament to his sanctity and God's grace.

O Holy Nicodim, intercede for us, that we may be strengthened in faith and granted healing of body and soul, for the glory of God.
