Martyr John the New, a merchant, was in Crimea when a Venetian slandered him for his faith, revealing him as a Christian. Dragged before the judge, John steadfastly refused to renounce Christ despite flattery and torture. Beaten mercilessly, stoned, and tied to a horse to be dragged through the streets, he remained firm in his faith. Finally, he was beheaded. Even after death, his body shone with light, and his relics continue to work miracles.

O, Holy #Martyr John, intercede for us that we may have the strength to confess Christ always! #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Faith
