In a time of religious and political strife, Peter Mogila, Metropolitan of Kiev, championed Orthodox education and spiritual renewal. Faced with the rise of Jesuit influence and Polish Catholic pressure, he established the Kiev Mohyla College, later Academy, to preserve Orthodox theology and culture. His efforts bore fruit, producing generations of educated Orthodox clergy and intellectuals who defended their faith. Let us pray that, inspired by his example, we may all stand firm in the face of adversity, defending the truth and spreading the light of Christ.
