The Virgin Mary, chosen by God, conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. She traveled to Bethlehem with Saint Joseph, where Jesus was born in a manger. She nurtured Jesus during his childhood and witnessed His ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection. After Jesus' ascension, she remained with the Apostles, and, according to tradition, she was assumed into Heaven.
