Born in Epivat, she gave her clothes to the poor as a child. After her parents died, she joined a monastery near Constantinople, then lived an ascetic life in the Jordanian desert. Before her death, an angel told her to return to her homeland. She died in Epivat and was buried near the sea. Her relics exuded a sweet fragrance and performed miracles, leading to their relocation to Iași in Romania.
