Visarion, born in 1900, abandoned his medical studies to become a monk at Lainici Monastery. Driven by faith, he preached against the communist regime's oppression of the church and the faithful. Arrested and brutally tortured, he remained steadfast in his belief, refusing to renounce God. He died in prison in 1950, a martyr for his unwavering devotion.
