Venerable #Paraschiva, born in Epivat, near Constantinople, always had a heart for God. One day, hearing the Gospel in church, she felt a burning desire to live for Christ alone. She secretly gave away her rich clothes to the poor. When her parents discovered this, she fled to a monastery in Constantinople, later embracing a life of solitude. After many years of asceticism, she reposed in peace. Her relics, known for miraculous healings, are venerated in Iași, Romania, drawing pilgrims seeking solace and healing.
