In 1948, Father Constantin Sârbu was arrested by the communist regime in Romania for his outspoken criticism of the government's persecution of the Church. He was imprisoned and subjected to brutal torture, yet he remained steadfast in his faith. Even in the face of immense suffering, he continued to encourage his fellow prisoners. He died in prison in 1950, a martyr for Christ. Holy Priest Martyr Constantin, pray to God for us!
