Saint Sava the Goth, a devout Christian reader in the church, lived during a time of persecution. When the Gothic authorities demanded Christians renounce their faith and eat pagan sacrificial meats, Sava stood firm. Despite threats, he declared his unwavering belief in Christ. Arrested and tortured, he refused to deny his faith. Thrown into the river Buzău, he embraced martyrdom rather than forsake his Lord.

Holy Martyr Sava, pray to God for us and inspire us to remain steadfast in our faith, even in the face of adversity.
