Saints Nicander and Marcian, Roman soldiers, were converted by Saint Peter himself. Abandoning their military posts, they became his disciples, preaching the Gospel and burying martyred Christians. Arrested for their faith, they refused to sacrifice to idols. After enduring torture, they were condemned to death. They met their end by fire, singing praises to God.

O Saints Nicander and Marcian, pray to God for us and guide us to stand strong in faith amidst adversity.
