On the 21st of July, we commemorate Martyr Iuliu Veteranul, a Romanian soldier during World War II. Captured by the Soviets and imprisoned in Ukraine, he refused to renounce his Christian faith and was martyred in 1944. His steadfast belief in the face of death inspires us to remain strong in our faith.
