Hieromartyr #Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, stood firm in his faith during the reign of Emperor Maximian. When commanded to offer sacrifices to pagan gods, he refused, declaring his unwavering devotion to Christ. Despite imprisonment and torture, Irineu remained steadfast. He was ultimately beheaded for his beliefs in 304 AD. O, Irineu, pray to #God for us, that we may have strength in faith as you did.
