Born in Epivat, Thrace, Paraschiva, from a young age, felt drawn to the ascetic life, forsaking worldly comforts to embrace poverty and prayer. After her parents' death, she ventured to Constantinople, then to the Jordanian desert, living a life of solitude and devotion. Years later, an angel appeared, directing her back to her homeland. She returned to Epivat, living in obscurity until her death. A pious woman's dream revealed her relics, radiating a sweet fragrance and incorrupt, leading to their veneration and numerous miracles attributed to her intercession.
