In the late 3rd century, during Diocletian's persecution, Roman soldiers martyred Zotic, Atal, Camasis, and Filip in Niculițel, Scythia Minor (modern Romania). They were secretly Christians, aiding fellow believers imprisoned for their faith. Their martyrdom was uncovered much later, in 1971, when their relics were found in a crypt, confirming their sacrifice.
