He resisted the Securitate's pressure to inform on his flock, choosing imprisonment and torture rather than betray his spiritual children. He aided those hunted by the regime, offering shelter and guidance. After 1989, he continued his service, healing souls, performing exorcisms, and helping people find their way back to God.
