Ghelasie, a monk from Râmeț, faced communist oppression head-on. In the 1950s, he resisted the regime's attempts to control the monastery and silence the faith. Despite threats and pressure, he continued to offer spiritual guidance and preserve the traditions of the church. He was arrested and imprisoned for his faith. His unwavering commitment inspired many to remain steadfast in their beliefs during a dark period. May his example strengthen our resolve to defend truth and justice. Let us pray for his intercession, that God will grant us the courage to live according to His will.
