On this day, we remember Saint Priest Martyr Alexandru of Basarabia, a beacon of faith during tumultuous times. Facing the rise of Soviet power in Bessarabia, he openly condemned the atheistic regime and defended the Church. Arrested and imprisoned for his unwavering stance, he endured torture and hardship, never renouncing his belief. In 1941, he was martyred for refusing to compromise his faith.
