During the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate, Donat, a bishop, and Venust, suffered for their unwavering faith. When ordered to renounce Christ and worship idols, they refused, declaring their allegiance to the true God. Enraged, the emperor subjected them to brutal tortures. They were hung, scourged, and their bodies were scraped with iron combs. Yet, their faith remained unshaken. Finally, they were beheaded, receiving their heavenly crowns as martyrs for Christ.
Let us pray to #Martyrs Donat and Venust, intercede for us, that we may remain steadfast in our #Faith and be granted the strength to resist temptation. May their sacrifice inspire us to live according to God's will. #Saints #Prayer #OrthodoxChristian
