Venerable Dometie, a simple shepherd from a poor village, felt God's call and became a monk at Râmeț Monastery. Known for his boundless compassion, he sheltered the needy, fed the hungry, and healed the sick. One harsh winter, when the monastery's supplies dwindled, Dometie prayed fervently. Miraculously, the granary overflowed, sustaining the community and the poor. He never turned away anyone in need, seeing Christ in every person.
