On this day, we remember the Holy Martyr Hermes, a Roman soldier who lived during the reign of Emperor Antoninus. Accused of being a Christian, Hermes refused to renounce his faith, even after enduring brutal tortures. Miraculously, each time he was subjected to torment, angels healed his wounds. Witnessing these divine interventions, many were converted to Christianity. Eventually, Hermes was beheaded for his unwavering devotion to Christ.
Holy Martyr Hermes, pray to God for us, that we may have the strength to uphold our #Faith in the face of adversity and to witness the truth of Christ to all. May his courage inspire us to stand firm in our beliefs. #Saints #Prayer #OrthodoxChristian
