Saint Visarion, a Romanian monk from Lainici Monastery, bravely defended Orthodox Christianity against forced conversions to Catholicism in the 18th century. He preached faith and resisted the Habsburg Empire's pressures, enduring imprisonment and torture. He remained steadfast, refusing to renounce Orthodoxy. His martyrdom inspired many to hold firm to their beliefs.
