Arrested in 1959, he endured years of imprisonment and torture for refusing to compromise his beliefs or denounce his allegiance to the Church. Despite immense pressure, he remained steadfast, offering spiritual guidance to fellow prisoners and becoming a beacon of hope in the darkness. Even after release, he continued his ministry in secret, strengthening the faithful until the fall of the regime.
