Venerable Martyr Visarion of Lainici, a Romanian monk, stood firm in his faith despite immense pressure to convert to Islam in the 18th century. He openly confessed Christ, endured torture, and was ultimately beheaded for his unwavering devotion. His martyrdom strengthened the Christian community in Oltenia.
