Joseph, born in 1568 in Macedonia, led a monastic life from a young age. Renowned for his humility and dedication to prayer, he served as a priest and later as the Metropolitan of Timișoara. A story tells of his miraculous intervention during a severe drought. The faithful begged Joseph for help and led by him, they walked in procession, fervently praying for rain. It is said that as they prayed, the heavens opened, and a life-giving rain quenched the parched land, saving the people from famine.
