A humble shepherd, Dimitrie lived a life of simplicity and prayer in the village of Basarabi. After his death, during a time of drought, his relics were revealed in a dream to a paralyzed girl, bringing forth a spring of water and healing. His relics were later moved to Bucharest, where they continue to be a source of blessings and miracles for the faithful.

Venerable Dimitrie, intercede for us before the throne of grace, that we may be granted strength to live lives pleasing to God!
