Saint Ephraim the Neomartyr, a 15th-century Greek Orthodox monk, demonstrated unwavering faith and became a powerful miracle worker.
Captured by Ottoman forces in 1425, he endured eight months of severe torture, refusing to renounce his Christian beliefs. On May 5, 1426, he was brutally executed, hung upside down on a mulberry tree.
