When Athanaric's soldiers sought those hiding their faith, Sava refused to let his fellow believers be found, declaring, "No one here is a Christian." However, he made no secret of his own belief. For his unwavering faith, he was tortured and drowned in the river Buzău. May his sacrifice inspire us to stand firm in our beliefs.
