Donatus, a bishop, and Venustus, a monk, faced martyrdom during the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate. When soldiers sought them, Donatus refused to hide, declaring his faith openly. He and Venustus were seized, tortured, and ultimately beheaded for refusing to renounce Christ and offer sacrifices to pagan idols. Their steadfast faith inspired many to remain true to Christianity amid persecution.

O Holy Martyrs Donat and Venust, pray to God for us! #Martyrs #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Faith
