Saint Andrew, brother of Simon Peter, was fishing in the Sea of Galilee when Jesus called him to be an Apostle, making him the "first-called." Andrew eagerly followed Christ, bringing others to Him, including his own brother. After the Resurrection, Andrew preached the Gospel in Scythia, along the Black Sea, and in Greece, facing persecution and ultimately being crucified in Patras on an X-shaped cross. His unwavering faith and dedication led many to Christ.
