In Durostorum, Emilian, a brave young man, shattered pagan idols during a festival. Arrested, he refused to renounce Christ despite threats. His own father, a judge, condemned him. Emilian was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames engulfed him, he sang praises to God, and his body remained untouched by the fire.
