Niceta of Remesiana, a 4th-century bishop, was a missionary to the barbarians. He's famed for composing the "Te Deum," a hymn of praise still sung today. He championed liturgical music in the vernacular, translating and composing hymns to make the faith accessible. Niceta faced opposition for his work, but his dedication to spreading the Gospel and his musical contributions left a lasting impact.
