A humble shepherd, Dimitrie lived a life of simplicity and prayer near the village of Basarabi. After his death, during a time of drought, his relics were discovered incorrupt and emitting a sweet fragrance, bringing forth much-needed rain to the parched land. His relics were later moved to Bucharest, where they continue to be a source of miracles and blessings for those who seek his intercession.
