Confessor Sava Brancovici, Metropolitan of Ardeal, stood firm against Calvinist pressures in 1680s Transylvania. Despite threats and inducements to convert, he defended Orthodox teachings, was imprisoned, and ultimately exiled for his unwavering faith. He died a confessor, a beacon of steadfastness in the face of adversity.
