Bishop Calinic of Râmnic, before monasticism known as Constantin Argesanu, was born into a family of pious peasants. He entered the Cernica Monastery. Known for his deep humility and wisdom, he spent years in diligent prayer and asceticism. He helped many people find God and find their way in life with kind words and actions.
