Venerable Onufrie of Vorona, born a peasant, felt a divine call early. Leaving his village, he joined a skete where he excelled in obedience and asceticism. Later, with the blessing of his elder, he retreated to a solitary cell near Vorona Monastery. His life was marked by intense prayer, fasting, and struggles against temptation. Despite his desire for solitude, his holiness drew others seeking guidance. He healed the sick and comforted the afflicted, becoming a beacon of faith.
