Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith in Singidunum (Belgrade). Ermil openly confessed his Christianity, refusing to worship idols, and was tortured. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. Both were then drowned in the Danube River. Holy Martyrs Ermil and Stratonic, pray to God for us!
