Venerable Germanus of Dobrogea, during a time of great drought and famine, prayed fervently to God for rain. His prayers were so earnest and his faith so strong that God answered him with a mighty downpour, ending the suffering of the people. He lived a simple life of prayer and solitude in a cave near the Black Sea, dedicating himself entirely to God. May his example inspire us to turn to God in times of need and to live lives of unwavering faith.
