Venerable John Iacob the Romanian, after serving in a monastery in Romania, journeyed to the Holy Land, seeking deeper communion with God. He lived as a hermit in the wilderness near the Jordan River and later at Saint George Hozevit Monastery. Known for his ascetic life, love for solitude, and profound spiritual writings, he guided many souls to Christ. He reposed in 1960, and his relics are venerated for their grace and healing.
