On fire with faith, Saint Visarion left monastic life to preach against injustice. Arrested, tortured, and exiled, he never wavered. Even when promised freedom for renouncing his beliefs, he chose Christ. Beaten mercilessly, he died proclaiming, "I am a Christian!" His martyrdom ignited faith across Romania.
